- Angelika, our certified medical Nordic Walking instructor, looks forward to meeting you.
There is hardly another sport that attracts so many people to nature, and has such an enthusiastic following, as Nordic walking.
The advantages are obvious: Nordic Walking can be practiced by anyone, regardless of age, and is easy to learn. The exercise is natural with the advanced Nordic walker using 90% of all muscles. Nordic walking is particularly gentle on the joints, increases calorie consumption and boosts the cardiovascular system and performance ... .... the most important factor is to ensure you have fun, enjoy the healthy exercise and experience the beauty of nature - whether you are here on the sunny Högl plateau above the city of Salzburg or back at home.
The gentle trail from the front door of the hotel leads to one of the 19 EuRegio fitness paths (Piding Högl - Anger Ainring - Wals - Siezenheim).
Nordic walking is an important part of our active programme for adults. We offer Nordic walking tours three times per week under the guidance of a professional instructor. We begin with an introduction tour and technique instructions and slowly increase the pace. Nordic walking poles are available free of charge. All you need to bring are: comfortable outdoor sports clothing and boots that are suitable for Nordic Walking (Special Nordic walking shoes are the best option. Stable running shoes or hiking boots are also appropriate)
Modern snowshoes allow a wide spectrum of nature lovers to explore previously unknown areas of our picturesque winters landscape, like no other sport.
This new trend requires little or no technical skills or equipment and yet guarantees unlimited fun. With snowshoes, you can discover winter idylls far away from the hustle and bustle of the piste and cross-country trails. Explore unspoilt snow-covered mountains and valleys, sunny alpine meadows, powder snow, peace and solitude as you venture on an unforgettable snowshoeing tour. Snowshoeing tours do not always have to focus on reaching a summit. The main objective is to enjoy the pristine white landscape.
Please remember to bring firm, ankle-high hiking boots and a pair of gaiters to prevent the snow from creeping into your boots.
